Lafarge Pakistan has placed innovation and performance at the heart of its strategy and wants to offer not only affordable housing but sustainable construction solutions accessible to everyone.
Lafarge Pakistan, a subsidiary of Lafarge Group, France, launched ' Building Better Cities', its new corporate positioning along with a new modernised logo at an event in Islamabad.
Amr Reda CEO of Lafarge Pakistan said: " The company's ambition is to contribute to building better cities by developing value-added products, constructions systems, and solutions and services to meet some of the greatest challenges of urbanisation whereas, developing infrastructure that withstands the passage of time along with protecting of environment is our priority.
"It gives me immense pleasure to announce our new corporate positioning 'Building Better Cities'. It expresses our sense of purpose in Pakistan, which is contributing to better towns and cities in urban and disaster affected areas," said Amr.
Philippe Thiebaud, ambassador of France to Pakistan, expressing his views at the event said, "Sustained economic growth cannot occur without social progress, environmental protection and respect for communities. Lafarge's renewed commitment and vision speaks of their sustainable development priorities. Lafarge has been at the forefront when it comes to their stakeholders and their recent initiative of health and safety trainings with APCMA and IESCO, and sustainable community activities around their plant are exemplary."
As a step to materialise this vision, a Memorandum of Understanding was also signed at the event between Lafarge with Unicon Consulting Services (Pvt) Ltd to provide innovative solutions and affordable housing in disaster affected areas.
