Iran’s cement output in the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year (beginning 21 March 2013) increased by five per cent compared to the same period of the previous year.
For the first four months production was 25.654Mt, Abdolreza Sheykhan of the Iran Cement Producers’ Association, reported. "The figure shows five per cent increase compared to the same period of time previous year," the IRNA News Agency quoted Sheykhan as saying.
"Some 25.213Mt of clinker was also produced in the mentioned period, which is six per cent more than previous year," he said.
Iran produced 75Mt of cement in previous year. The country's cement production capacity stands at 80Mt.
