Falcon Cement receives ISO 9001 certification, Bahrain

Falcon Cement Company, Bahrain’s first integrated cement producer, has announced that following comprehensive assessments, the company and its systems has been approved for ISO 9001 quality management system certification by the Bureau Veritas.

“We are delighted to have received this prestigious certification,” Falcon Cement executive director Salah Sharif told Gulf Industry news. “We look forward to further building our position and even more effectively meeting the needs of the current and future market in Bahrain through continued growth and the pursuit of quality enhancement.”

Falcon Cement operates a 1.2Mta cement plants located in the Hufair Industrial area. The plant started operations in March 2009, catering to the local needs of the Kingdom of Bahrain and reducing reliance on imported cement. The company's primary products are OPC and SRC cement. Falcon Cement is in the process of expanding capacity from 950tpd to 3400tpd, a project that is due for completion this year.
