Buzzi Unicem USA plans to upgrade its Maryneal cement works in Texas, USA, which will more than double capacity at the plant and reduce its environmental footprint.

Capacity at the Maryneal facility will be increased from 0.55Msta to 1.2Msta. The company will also install state-of-the-art pollution control equipment to significantly reduce the plant’s NOx emissions and comply with other stringent environmental limits.

“The Maryneal plant expansion will result in a world-class facility that has the latest pyroprocessing, environmental, and safety equipment,” said David Nepereny, president and CEO of Buzzi Unicem USA.
