The Eurocement Group of Russia is ready to invest US$70-80m to upgrade cement production facilities in Belarus, Minister of Architecture and Construction, Anatoly Chernyi, told a press conference.
"Eurocement Group suggested helping us to switch the cement production plants from the wet-process of cement production to the dry-process,” the minister said. Further negotiations will be held between the participants of the project to upgrade the facilities until 2017 with the use of the Russian investment. The government has already approved these plans
Mr Chernyi suggested that the cooperation may be a joint venture but negotiations are still ongoing and yet to be confirmed.
