Steppe Cement completes commissioning of Line 5

Steppe Cement Ltd announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Karcement JSC, has successfully completed the commissioning of the new dry-process Line 5 in Kazakhstan.

The new kiln line  is expected to increase Steppe Cement Group's cement production capacity by an additional 1.2Mta.

"In view of the successful completion, Steppe Cement Group, its board of directors and management wish to congratulate all employees for their commendable efforts especially during the cold winter season which experienced well below average conditions in January and February," the company said in a statement.
