Cement sales in Morocco expanded 8.23 per cent YoY in March, offering local cement producers hope for a better year after a difficult start.
However, with a sales decline of 3.18 per cent in the January-March period cement sales have still not recovered. The region of Oued Ed-Dahab-Lagouira experienced the largest fall in sales in the first three months of the year with a 19.9 per cent drop. The largest volume was sold in Greater Casablanca where 478,781t represented a YoY decrease of 2.6 per cent.
