Pakistan cement producers have increased the price of cement by PKR5/bag to PKR220-235/bag in Karachi, according to local retailers.

“The latest increase is made after a gap of six to eight weeks,” vendor Muhammad Sohail told News International (Pakistan), adding that the previous increase of PKR5 per bag was made sometime in March.
 
Commenting on the increase, an analyst said that the surge in development work in the country has provided room to the manufacturers to raise the price of the product.
