Brazilian cement sales in April 2014 climbed by 4.9 per cent YoY to 5.9Mt, preliminary data and market estimates gathered by Sindicato Nacional da Industria do Cimento (SNIC) reveal.

During January - April 2014, sales totalled 22.8Mt, a 3.3 per cent rise compared to the first four months of last year.

Accumulated cement sales for the 12 months between May 2013 - April 2014 reached 70.7Mt, expanding by three per cent compared to the same period of the previous year (May 2012 - April 2013).
