Qatar National Cement Co (QNCC) has selected Fives FCB (France) to implement its fifth production line with a clinker capacity of 5000tpd on a turnkey basis.
This new production line covers the equipment from raw material preparation to the cement dispatch and includes: a 6400kW FCB B raw grinding mill and its associated FCB TSV™ 7500 classifier, a five-stage single-string preheater and zero-NOx precalciner, a 4.8 x 76m three-pier kiln and two TGT® process filters. The order also includes two 4200kW FCB B cement mills and their associated FCB TSV® 4000 classifiers.
The execution of the plant on EPC basis will be carried out in three stages: the first cement mill will start production in 17 months, followed by the second grinding plant within 19 months. The last phase will be the firing of the kiln and the production of clinker within 27 months. Belgian company TPF-Basse Sambre SA has been appointed by QNCC as consultant engineer for the project.
Fives FCB, which is part of the Cement Minerals business line of Fives, has previously implemented QNCC’s lines 2, 3 and 4 at its Umm Bab base, which a combined clinker capacity of 11,000tpd.
