TCL enters Colombian market

Trinidad Cement Ltd (TCL) recently imported its first load of oil-well cement into Colombia for processing in its plant at Barrancabermeja, Santander, and intends to start sales in the South American country this month.

 “This first import of TCL oil-well cement into Colombia is an important step in the strategy to expand our boundaries. For TCL it also represents the ability to offer our clients product differentiation in terms of quality and price,” said Andrés Peña Vieira, strategic business manager of the Caribbean company.

In the first instance, TCL will carry out local sales from Barrancabermeja, which has seen an initial investment of COP600m (US$0.3m).
