JK Cement has started commercial production from its split-grinding unit at Jharli in the northern Indian state of Haryana.

The 1.5Mta plant will source its raw material from both internal and external sources such as fly ash from NTPC power plant and clinker from JK Cement’s Nimbahera and Mangrol units.

The new facility will help the company serve major markets like Delhi, Haryana and Punjab “more effectively and logistically,” according to a statement posted on the company’s website.
