Shree Cement has commissioned a 2Mta grinding unit at Aurangabad in Bihar as part of its plan to gain a foothold in the east of the country.
In a statement to the stock exchanges, the company said it had commissioned the facility on 30 June 2014.
Prior to its completion, Shree Cement had a capacity of 13.5Mta. It has embarked on expansions to take its total capacity to 25Mta by 2015 aimed at consolidating position further in the north India market and establish a presence in the east.
