India-based producer Wonder Cement has placed an order with Gebr Pfeiffer for raw meal and coal mills as part of plans to expand its Tehsil Nimbahera cement works. The mills will supply the new 8500tpd kiln line at the plant situated in Chittorgarh district, India.
The MPS 5600 B, with a capacity of 605tph of raw meal and a fineness of 1.5 per cent residue on the 212µm sieve, will be equipped with a 5600kW drive.
Wonder Cement will use pulverised petcoke for kiln firing. This fuel will be produced on an MPS 3070 BK with a capacity of 40tph and a product fineness of two per cent residue on the 90µm sieve. Thanks to the mill being equipped with a new generation SLS-BK high efficiency classifier, both coal and lignite can be ground and dried with process gases in the mill and classified in the integrated classifier. Due to the high abrasiveness of Indian coal, the mill will be equipped with an adapted wear protection.
Gebr Pfeiffer (India) will carry out the planning work for the grinding plants, including general arrangement drawings, specifications of components to be provided by the customer, and later on support during erection and commissioning of the mills.
This follow-up order was awarded to Gebr Pfeiffer partly due to the positive experiences with existing mills, but also on the advice of Holtec Consulting of India.
