A major contract was signed recently by Aumund India to furnish all necessary machines for a second production line at Wonder Cement's plant at Nimbahera, Rajasthan. The contract worth EUR5m includes 32 items of equipment from Aumund's product portfolio.
Due to positive experiences in servicing and supplying Nimbahara Line 1, Aumund India was invited to tender for the installation of Line II. After a short period of intensive negotiations, Raju Gupta, managing director of Aumund India and Ibrahim Ali, director of Wonder Cement signed a contract in June 2014 at Udaipur, India. The second production line will increase the plant’s capacity from 3.25Mta to 7Mta.
Aumund's scope of supply includes six chain bucket elevators, six belt bucket elevators, seven deep pan conveyors and 13 silo discharge gates. The chain bucket elevators include four double bucket elevators with two designed for a capacity of 1775tph. Similarly, in terms of the belt bucket elevators, the preheater feed elevators have a centre-to-centre distance of 150m handling a capacity of 800tph. A reversible deep pan conveyor with a length of 162.3m is also part of the scope of supply. Beyond delivery and installation of the equipment, the contract includes future supply and maintenance services.
