The VAS IT-Logistic solution of Fritz & Maczoil has become an integral part of HeidelbergCement AG’s “Logistic Efficiency Optimization” (LEO) initiative.
A considerable cost reduction in the fields of logistics for the corporate group is the aim by introducing an integrated material-flow management system. Globally several plants in the business lines of cement, aggregates (sand and gravel) as well as concrete will be equipped with VAS from Fritz & Maczoil. In this context Fritz & Maczoil has also been announced as a ‘Preferred Supplier’ by HeidelbergCement AG.
"Due to the large international experience as a hardware independent IT-specialist in the industrial environment and the flexibility in creating an interface to SAP, Fritz & Maczoil reflects an ideal partner for us in the fields of IT-Logistics." said Tanja Hofmann, group purchasing at HeidelbergCement AG.
“The announcement of receiving the status ‘Preferred Supplier’ reflects a high level of trust, that has grown within our long lasting partnership. HeidelbergCement is a global player and belongs to the industry-leading companies in its field." explained Marc Brida, manager sales & business development, industrial applications and services at Fritz & Maczoil.
Currently four German cement plants of the HeidelbergCement group run the IT-Logistic solution VAS. The solution will now be further implemented in the remaining German works whereas at the same time both sides will work on the international roll-out.
