Kenya: Savannah Cement selects database management system

Kenya’s Savannah Cement Ltd has selected the SAP® ERP application powered by SAP HANA®  to improve its operational reporting, real time planning and forecasting.

Savannah Cement is one of the newest entrants into the cement market in Kenya, with a 1.5Mta cement plant strategically located near the capital Nairobi.

Savannah is the first company in east and central Africa to deploy the SAP ERP technology and “is now well-placed in the cement industry because it is equipped with in-memory computing technology for real-time planning and forecasting,” SAP added.
