A total of 29Mt of cement was dispatched during the first 10 months (July 2014 - April 2015) of the current Pakistan versus 28Mta in the same period of last year due to a rise in domestic demand, the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) said.

Total dispatches in April 2015 were 3.29Mt compared to 3.21Mt during the same month last year, up by 2.62 per cent. Monthly domestic dispatches increased by 4.57 per cent to 2.65Mt. Meanwhile, exports fell by 4.72 per cent to 0.64Mt compared to 0.672Mt during April 2014.
