The concrete has provided the foundations for 19 new wind turbines at Aikengall II Community Wind Farm (East of Edinburgh) each of which will stand at 145m, among the tallest in the UK.

Hope’s Dunbar and Dalkieth readymix plants supplied the bespoke concrete using 17 mixer trucks on Tuesdays and Thursdays over a two-month period.

Set to be commissioned in August 2016, the wind farm will generate 68.4MW of clean, green, locally sourced energy, supplying electricity to more than 42,000 homes, displacing around 77,000t of CO2 per annum, Hope Construction Materials said in a statement.
