British Precast held its Annual Black-Tie Dinner on 24 June at the Leicester Marriott Hotel, UK. Supported by Cemex, the event brought the industry together for an evening of entertainment and presentation of the prestigious Best Practice Awards.
British Precast members who had submitted entries for the four award categories: Health & Safety, Innovation, Project and Sustainability were all congratulated and the winners were announced as follows:
• Health & Safety: Aggregate Industries – for Load Security
• Innovation: HAVSco – for Hand/Arm Vibration Monitoring
• Project Award: Thorp Precast – for Admiral Headquarters, Cardiff
• Sustainability: H+H – for Energy Management System & Reduction
The winners of the award for Outstanding Contribution to Health & Safety, also announced during Wednesday's ceremony, were:
• Nick Moore – Brett Landscaping & Building Products
• Wayne Smith – Stanton Bonna Concrete
• Chris Dane – Brett Landscaping & Building Products
• Cebastone Workforce - Forticrete
Commenting on the success of the event, Andrew Minson, executive director of British Precast, said: “The Annual Dinner was a fantastic evening and a great opportunity for the precast industry to get together to network and celebrate their success of the past year.
