India: Dalmia expands footprint in western region

Dalmia Cement Bharat Ltd (DCBL), the flagship company of the Dalmia Bharat Group, has commenced operations at its greenfield cement plant in Belgaum district of Karnataka, India.

The 2.5Mta cement works will cater to the needs of the customers in Maharashtra and Karnataka markets, a company statement said. Dalmia Cement wants to address the needs of its customers through 800 dealers in Maharashtra.

The company has a total cement capacity of 24Mta from its 11 plants across India. It has a strong presence in north east and south part of India.
