Cemex Dominicana recently announced a US$6m investment to increase the packing and palletizing capacity of its cement plant at San Pedro de Macoris (east).
It said the investment in a new cement packing unit forms part of the company’s strategic plan in the Dominican Republic in response to local market requirements, Dominican Today reports. The new unit will boost Cemex's capacity by more than 1.5m additional bags monthly, or 800,000tpa.
