The Italcementi Group has appointed Alex Car as the president and CEO of its Essroc North American operations. Car previously served as Essroc senior vice president of cement sales and marketing and general manager of construction materials.

Mr Car succeeds Francesco Carantani, who will assume new duties within the Italcementi Group.
