Cement sales in Puerto Rico fell to 1085m bags in October, representing a 14.4 per cent YoY fall, the largest in the past nine months. The reduction has been attributed to a contraction in housing construction and a lack of government resources invested in public works.
Domestic cement production decreased 22.5 per cent to 872m of bags. In 2014, production fell 1.9 per cent following two years of increases.
