Portland and blended cement shipments in the US and Puerto Rico during September 2015 totalled 9.011Mt, according to preliminary data from the US Geological Survey. Of the total, domestic dispatches accounted for 8.027Mt and imports were 984,080t.

Over the first nine months of 2015, shipments totalled 68.183Mt, comprising 61.25Mt of domestic shipments and 6.933Mt of imports.

Clinker production was 6.67Mt in September and 55.94Mt over the nine-month period, according to the preliminary figures.
