Cement deliveries in Colombia rose by 12.5 per cent YoY to 1.107Mt in December 2015, according to the latest data by the country’s statistics office, DANE.
Construction companies and contractors mainly fuelled the increase as their segment expanded by 27.9 per cent. Grey cement production reached 1.210Mt, up 7.2 per cent when compared with December 2014.
Domestic deliveries increased by seven per cent YoY in 2015 to reach 12.807Mt. Output by the country’s cement producers rose by 6.2 per cent when compared with 2014, to 13.153Mt.
Market expansion was the largest in Nariño at 27.4 per cent, followed by Cesar (+26.5 per cent), Bolivar (+10.8 per cent) and Antioquia with 9.2 per cent.
