Votorantim selects Loesche VRM for Turkish project

Tianjin Cement Industry Design & Research Institute (TCIDRI) has placed an order for a Loesche LM 48.4 vertical roller mill (VRM) for the 'Sivas 2 RM' project by Votorantim Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS in Turkey.

The mill for the grinding of raw material will be designed with a capacity of 420tph and the material ground to a fineness of 14 per cent R90µm. The gearbox has a power output of 2860kW. Also included in the scope of supply is engineering for the cyclone separators.

The lead time for the main components of the mill is eight months, while the gearbox will be supplied within the next nine months. Commissioning of the VRM is planned for the end of next year.
