The Portland Cement Association (PCA) has lowered its annual growth estimate for 2016 cement consumption from four per cent to 2.7 per cent. It also revised its 2017 US consumption forecast from 4.2 per cent growth down to 3.1 per cent in response to political uncertainty, inflation and slower construction activity.
“President-elect Trump continues to shape his cabinet and policies, thus making it difficult to forecast potential outcomes at this point,” PCA Chief Economist, Ed Sullivan said.
