Kenya: Savannah Cement 2500tpm supply deal

Savannah Cement claims to be supplying 2500t of cement each month to the Outer Ring Road expansion project. The KES16bn (US$157m) road project is being financed by the African Development Bank and the Kenyan government and is scheduled for completion in September 2017.

Meanwhile, the cement manufacturer has plans to install a second grinding unit at its Kitengela complex to boost production capacity. With the installation of the unit nest year, Savannah Cement expects to double its production capacity to 2.4Mta.
