Cement mill delivered to Angolan plant

Last week, project cargo handler Yuexin Logistics completed delivery of major cement plant components from Shanghai to Luanda in Angola. The delivery is believed to relate to the Nova Cimangola 2 project, which is being carried out by A Tec Production and Services GmbH of Austria.

The consignment included parts for the new clinker line and the transport of a cement grinding mill shell steel material and equipment, the heaviest item being the cement grinding shell which weighed 152t and measured 19m long.

The project team from Yuexin handled all chartering services for the heavy-lift vessel as well as coordinating terminal operations, liaising with different factories to make booking and providing customs clearance. The cargo weighed 80,000t and was delivered in phases over the course of a year.

The 2Mta expansion project for Nova Cimangola is scheduled for completion this year.
