Cement demand in Colombia fell by 4.6 per cent in November 2016 to 1.019Mt when compared with November 2015, according to DANE, the country's statistics office.
Output decreased by 3.5 per cent to 1.009Mt when compared with November 2015, when production reached 1.045Mt.
In Nariño deliveries advanced by 21.1 per cent and in Antioquia by 7.7 per cent. On the other hand, Cesar noted a 29.1 per cent drop, with Santander and Cundinamarca reporting demand down by 18.4 and 15.5 per cent, respectively.
For the first 11 months of 2016, dispatches slipped from 11.7Mt in 11M15 to 11.095Mt in 11M16. Production decreased from 11.873Mt to 11.396Mt in the same period.
