Argentina’s cement market expanded by 1.2 per cent YoY in January 2017 as cement sales reached 868,590t from 858,496t the year before, according to the country's cement association, AFCP.
Export sales more than doubled, rising from 4306t in January 2015 to 9632t in the first month of 2017.
The country’s cement plants produced some 878,222t of cement, noting a 1.8 per cent rise YoY. Domestic output was complemented by 5184t of imports while in 2016 no imports into the Latin American country were reported.
