Fives awarded dryer contract by Cementos del Norte
Fives has been selected by Cementos del Norte SA (Cenosa) to supply a new FCB Flash dryer, which will be installed on the existing cement ball mill of the Bijao plant in Honduras.
The existing ball mill was supplied and installed by Fives FCB in 2001 for a production capacity of 90tph pozzolanic cement, but since then, both pozzolana content and moisture rate have increased significantly.
"Once in operation, the grinding plant drying capacity will be enhanced with corresponding benefits on the hourly production," Fives said in a statement.
