The World Cement Association announced that Vassiliko Cement Works Ltd is the latest organisation to join its fast-growing, international membership.
The recently-established association now includes a network of members and representatives that cover 26 countries.
“We are delighted that Vassiliko Cement is joining our worldwide cement community,” said Norman Greig, Secretary General of the World Cement Association. “We share Vassiliko’s focus on ongoing improvement and best practice and look forward to working closely with them and our international membership to raise standards in the cement industry around the globe.”
Vassiliko Cement Works Ltd was established in Cyprus in 1963, with initial production of 150,000t This has grown to an annual volume of 2MTa, thanks largely to the establishment of a EUR200m state-of-the-art facility completed in 2011.
