Around 1.578Mt of cement were produced in Azerbaijan in the first seven months of 2017, representing a YoY increase of 24.1 per cent, according to the Azerbaijani state statistics committee.

First-half of 2017 data indicate that local producers control 99 per cent of the market with an output of 1.29Mt. Imports during the six months reached 14,000t, with a value of US$2.9m. In 1H16 38,700t of cement were imported.
