Pioneer Cement Ltd has awarded Loesche with the contract for four vertical roller mills (VRMs) for its new production line at its Chenki/Kushab district, Punjab. The new line will expand the cement producer’s production capacity at the site to 8000tpd.

The contract includes a 630tph VRM for raw meal grinding as well as two cement mills that will grind clinker at a rate of 235tph each. The LDC (Loesche Dynamic Classifier), which is used in the plant and is optimally customised to the Loesche mills, ensures the appropriate fineness. The patented vortex rectifier and an optimised flow characteristic produce significantly lower energy consumption and therefore, lower operating costs. Dedusting at the raw material mill is carried out by two Hurriclon® systems, supplied by Loesche’s subsidiary ATEC.

The delivery, which will be processed by autumn 2018, also includes a coal mill with a throughput capacity of 60tph. This is equipped with the tried-and-tested dynamic classifier of the LSKS model series (Loesche bar cage classifier).

The project will be carried out in cooperation with China’s Chengdu Design & Research Institute, part of Sinoma International Engineering Co Ltd.
