Aumund Group to deliver 250t of conveyor equipment to Sherabad plant

Aumund Fördertechnik is in the process of delivering a drag chain package order for Almalyk Mining and Processing (AGMK) for the greenfield Sherabad cement plant in Uzbekistan.

Included in the first order, placed last May, are three drag chain conveyors with capacities from 7.5tph to 200tph for discharging limestone, gypsum and pozzolan. This was followed up by a second order in October 2017 for a Louise type Aumund drag chain conveyor for discharging clinker dust.

Aumund Fördertechnik will also supply no less than 10 belt chain bucket elevators with capacities from 21tph to 500tph, including a pan conveyor, with a clinker capacity of 300tph and centre distance of 148m.The clinker conveying system comprises two further Aumund pan conveyors with the same capacity but centre distances of 54m and 65m. The package also includes 19 silo discharge gates.

According to official sources, Uzbekistan would like to increase its cement production to 8.9Mt by 2020. The new plant in Sherabad is a major factor in this equation and from 2019 the intention is that cement production at this factory will run at a capacity of 1.5Mta of Portland cement.
