The city of Al-Bayda in Libya will be the location of a 4000tpd greenfield cement plant. Ali Hussein, the city mayor, has held a meeting with a number of German investors in the presence of several businessmen from the city to examine the possibility of establishing a cement factory within the municipality.

The meeting agreed upon a plan to establish a 1.3Mta cement plant located south of the municipality, taking into consideration the compliance with the recognised environmental standards.
