LafargeHolcim appoints new CEO of US Cement

LafargeHolcim has appointed Jamie Gentoso as the new CEO of its US Cement operations. Ms. Gentoso has previously worked as the senior vice president of concrete at Sika Corp US, and succeeds John Stull, who was recently announced as the CEO of Holcim Philippines.

“Jamie has a proven track record in this industry, and her deep-seeded expertise and strong focus on the customer will be valued contributions to LafargeHolcim in the US,” said René Thibault, LafargeHolcim group executive committee member and region head, North America.

Elsewhere in the North American region, the company has announced the closure of its ready-mix concrete operations in Cold Lake and Bonnyville, Canada.

“The company will maintain the two properties at this time and monitor the economic situation and demand for concrete in the area,” said Jennifer Lewis, director of Lafarge Canada, in a statement to the Cold Lake Sun.
