Honduran president, Juan Orlando Hernández, has announced a reduction of HNL30 (US$1.22)/bag of cement for public works and housing, following talks with the cement industry.
The agreement is directly linked to national development, with an impact on housing projects, the road network and other initiatives, said the president. Not only social projects will benefit, but generation of employment and investment in the construction sector will also improve as the country saves around HNL365m/month in 2019 and around HNL1bn in three years.
