Cement production in Côte d’Ivoire has increased from 2.5Mt in 2015 to 3.5Mt in 2017, according to Abidjan.net.
In addition, with an XOF73bn (US$127.5m) investment into new cement plants and upgrading old facility as well as growing demand due to major public works projects, cement producers have lifted their capacity to 7.2Mta in 2017.
Furthermore, with the commissioning of an additional seven units expected in 2019, cement capacity is set to rise to 9.4Mta by the end of this year.
