LafargeHolcim temporarily closed the grinding plant in Mabini, Batangas, the Philippines, in compliance to the Environment Management Bureau-Region IV office's order issued on the morning of 13 February 2019.
The company is submitting to the legal process on this matter, cooperating with authorities and will work with all stakeholders towards a positive and fast resolution of the issue.
LafargeHolcim stands by its position that the Mabini plant should be allowed to operate. It adheres to relevant local and national laws, and operates consistent with its values of health, safety, integrity and sustainability, said a company statement.
