Chinese researchers at Ximjiang Communications Construction Group Co Ltd claim to have developed a low-cost and environmentally-friendly cement with ingredients that include natural soil and wind-blown sand.
The new 'green cement' also includes construction waste and steel slag and is said to halve both construction costs and time. The cement has been developed to be used in the construction of road infrastructure, railway lines, airports, forestry, agriculture, water conservancy, electric power and mining projects, repors the Science and Technology Daily.
