Siam Cement Group Cambodian sales revenues top US$226m in 1H19

Siam Cement Group Public Co (SCG) announced sales revenues of US$226m in Cambodia in 1H19, an increase of 11 per cent on 1H18, mainly due to higher cement sales.

SCG raised US$116m in the 2Q19 with the help of the company's recently launched Interior Solution scheme to design and provide material specification services for residential and commercial buildings.

Currently, the construction sector is booming in Cambodia. A total of 2047 construction projects worth US$3.39bn were approved in 1H19 by the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction.

Chiv Sivpheng, general manager of Cambodia's Constructors Association, said: "The demand for construction materials is rising, especially in Sihanoukville."
