India’s Bharathi Cement has commissioned a 10MW solar power plant at its 5Mta cement works in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. The facility is expected to help cut the company’s overall energy costs by reducing its reliance on thermal power.
The project was delivered by Fourth Partner Energy in a record 60 days, according to a company press release. The power plant is part of Bharathi’s long-term plan to transition to renewable energy.
