Algeria’s cement export revenues have increased more than 251 per cent YoY in the first nine months of 2019, rising to over US$51m from US$14.54m, according to the Customs’ Directorate of Studies and Prospective (DEPD).
Said Djellab, trade minister, has said that export revenues are expected to reach US$60m by the end of 2019, compared with US$20m in the previous year. However, he also noted that this is expected to surge to US$400m by 2021 since the industry will have the capacity to export 20Mta.
