Nepal’s Hetauda Cement Factory has reopened after closing for around one month due to the breakdown of its pre-filter fan and electric motor. The plant produces 12,000-16,000 bags of cement each day, supplying Kathmandu, Pokhara, Bhairahawa, Dhangadhi, Nepalgunj and Biratnagar.

Local residents had reportedly complained about cement dust affecting their health, according to Khabarhub. The problem has now been resolved, said Basanta Raj Pandey, general manager of the plant.
