Cement deliveries in Switzerland, including Liechtenstein, were down 6.3 per cent YoY to 971,994t in the fourth quarter of 2022 from 1,037,394t in the 4Q21, according to cemsuisse, the Swiss cement association. Low-carbon cements accounted for 94.7 per cent of sales. A total of 73.2 per cent of deliveries were supplied to ready-mix concrete companies while 20.2 per cent of deliveries represented the off-take of construction companies and contractors.

In 2022 cement deliveries in Switzerland and Liechtenstein slipped by 0.7 per cent YoY to 4,146,102t from 4,176,708t in 2021.

In terms of transport, 36.7 per cent of deliveries were supplied by rail.
