The Turkish Ministry of Commerce stated that measures will be taken in Ankara, Anatolia region, to prevent cement and clinker price increases and to relieve domestic supply.

The following statements were made in the written statement made by the Ministry: “These products were added to the 'List of Goods for Exports' on 4 September 2021, in order to closely monitor the exports of cement and clinker, which are used extensively in the construction industry, primarily to meet the domestic demand, and to ensure that the necessary measures can be taken in a timely manner.

“Due to the intense notifications to our Ministry that there has been a problem in the domestic supply of the said products in the last period, and the increases observed by our Ministry in the domestic sales prices of the products mentioned, especially in the last 1-2 months, the necessary measures will be taken by our Ministry to prevent price increases and to relieve the domestic supply of these products without delay.”
