Indonesia-based PT Semen Jawa, part of the Siam Cement Group, has significantly increased its use of industrial waste as fuel and alternative raw materials, setting a new standard in the industry. According to the company, it uses 5000t of alternative fuel each months, making up 19.5 per cent its total fuel consumption.

This forms part of Siam Cement Group’s ongoing adoption of alternative fuel and alternative raw materials to help support Indonesia’s climate goals, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 31.89 per cent, in line with the Enhanced National Determined Contributions, report Newsbase Daily News.
